AVOSCET Features
AVOSCET consists of three main features: an easy to use front-end interface for creating and defining unmanned vehicle missions, a task network simulation core which simulates the activities of the vehicles and their operators, and a reporting utility which provides essential metrics for analyzing performance and evaluating the appropriateness of the defined organizational structure.
The Front-End Interface
AVOSCET provides a user-friendly interface through which an analyst can define specific parameter values envisioned for a particular mission involving autonomous systems. Some of the available parameters are:
Vehicle characteristics - how many, what type, and the underlying Level of Autonomy
Operator characteristics - amount of training they have had, aptitude, innate proficiency, and what environmental stressors they will experience during the mission.
Mission characteristics - how many waypoints, the specific characteristics between each waypoint (such as terrain, vegetation, and soil), enemy threat level, and population density.
